Welcome to my favourite place in New Zealand, Port Waikato. My name is Mark von Nagy, I am an Auckland base Photographer with American roots. Since emmigrating to New Zealand, no other place for me has been as rewarding for me to photograph than Port Waikato.
I bought this little section of cyberspace to display my photos of 'The Port' for people all over the world to enjoy. It seems like every visit I take to The Port there is something new to take a picture of: a ute thats been caught in high tide, a abandoned sofa along the rivers edge, or spectacular sunsets over the Tasman sea.
I am a digital photographer, my primary equipment is as follows:
- Canon 10D SLR
- Sigma 15-30mm lens
- Canon 85mm lens
- Hama UV filter (Sigma lens)
- Hama Polarising filter (Canon lens)
- Photoshop 5.5 - newer versions are a bitter too fancy for me - and yes its a legal copy ;-)
- The Gimp - an open source photo editing software
